Hattie Mae Paige, age 82, passed peacefully on Wednesday, April 24, 2024. She was born on March 10, 1942 in Birmingham, Alabama.
Hattie retired from the Mother Margaret Hall, Sisters of Charity after 25 years of service as a nurse aide. Hattie was also a beloved active member of New Life Missionary Baptist Church where she served as a Sunday School Teacher, Devotional leader for the Missionary Society, and sang in the choir.
Hattie was preceded in death by her husband, Stonewall Paige (married 65 years); her parents: Handsome Thomas and Lucille Thomas [Jones]; siblings: John, George, Handsome, Louise, Ethel, and Wilbur; son, Duane Paige; granddaughter, Kelly Black and grandson, Terez Richardson.
She leaves behind her loving children: Wilbert Paige, Michael Paige, Melantha Paige, and Melnea Paige [Deanna Evans]; grandchildren: Yolanda Paige, Mia Paige [Gavin Montgomery], Kiara Bernard, Jonathan Richardson and Tanisha Richardson; great-grandchildren: June and Jaxson; as well as a host of nieces and nephews.
Hattie will always be remembered for her love of family, church and a good meal shared with her loved ones.
Visitation is from 11:00 am until 12:00 pm, on Thursday, May 2, 2024, at the New Life Missionary Baptist Church, 6434 Simpson Avenue, Cincinnati (45224). The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation beginning at 12:00 pm. Friends and family will gather to share memories, find solace in one another's company, and honor the legacy she leaves behind.
Interment will follow at Crown Hill Memorial Park & Mausoleum, 11825 Pippin Road, Colerain Township, Ohio 45231.
