Harry Lind Seymore, affectional known as SEYMORE, or G-DADDY, was a man whose strong presence and steady spirit left a lasting mark on everyone who knew him. He carried himself with a stern demeanor that commanded respect, but beneath that exterior was a warm, funny, and deeply loving man who cherished his family and friends.

Harry was born on December 9th, 1940, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, to Maude Esther Armstrong and William Seymore. In his early years, life took him from Minneapolis to Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and eventually to Cincinnati, Ohio in 1983, where he would build the life and family, he became so proud of. In Cincinnati, he met his devoted wife, Anna Lane Seymore, and together they shared 32 years of Marriage filled with love, laughter and partnership.

A hardworking and dedicated provider, Harry worked as a maintenance man for Matten Apartments in Cincinnati. Later, he settled into a long and faithful career with Cincinnati Water Works, where he worked for 28 years before retiring. Wherever he went, people simply knew him as “SEYMORE”, a name that carried respect, strength and familiarity.

Harry’s passion reflected his love for simple joys and good company. In his younger years, he loved to dance, He enjoyed playing cards with family and friends, where his mind and competitive nature, and sense of humor always came out, if he loses - the first thing out his mouth was “YA’LL CHEATED”, or his partner “DOES NOT KNOW HOW TO PLAY”. He also loved fishing, finding peace and relaxation near the water. But one of his greatest joys was sitting on his front porch, with family and friends joking, laughing, and talking with neighbors as they walked by the house. That porch became a gathering place filled with stories, a lot of teasing and love. – a place where SEYMORE aka G-DADDY came to life.

Harry was a loving father, grandfather, great grandfather and great, great grandfather, a patriarch of a beautiful growing family. He is survived by his biological children: Marshall Brown Seymore (Pas Brown), Charissa Seymore (Lee Hill), and Harry Seymore JR. (Cynthia Seymore). Through love and marriage, his family circle expanded to include his stepsons Carl l. Lane (Judaea S. Lane) and Gary D. Lane, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Each one a testament to the legacy he leaves behind.

Harry’s Grand Children Are: Juna Brown, Tama Brand, Latoya Brown, Sonja Brown, Cedric Brown, Josh Brown, Markilo Seymore, Jazmin M. Lane, Javier Raheem, Parisia Lewis, Anthony Lane, Cardae Lane, Giovonii Lane, Trystin Lane.

He was also blessed with 10 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren, all whom carry forward his name, his strength, and his spirit.

He is proceeded in death by his siblings: John Seymore, William Seymore, Lenny Seymore, Ashley Seymore, and Priss Seymore, with whom he is now joyfully reunited.

To his family, Harry was more than a father or grandfather – he was G-DADDY, the anchor, the protector, the one who could be stern when needed, but always followed it with a joke, a laugh, or a quiet moment of love. His firm heart guided many, but his soft hands held them all.

Harry Lind Seymore will be deeply missed, yet his memory will live on in the stories told on the front porch, in the laughter of his grandchildren, and in the strength of the family he built. His life was blessing, his presence a gift, and his legacy a treasure that his loved ones will carry forever.

Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from 2:00 pm until 3:00 pm, on Saturday, June 27, 2026, at the Walker Event Center, 3939 Reading Road (Corner of Reading and Paddock), Cincinnati (45229). The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation, beginning at 3:00 pm. Friends and family will gather to share memories, find solace in one another's company, and honor the legacy he leaves behind.
