It is with sadness we announce the transition of Gwennetta Latrice Dorsey-Payne, age 41, of Cincinnati, Ohio, who entered eternal rest on Wednesday, February 15, 2023, in Cincinnati, Ohio. She was born on December 19, 1981, in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Gwennetta "Netta" Latrice Dorsey- Payne was born on December 19, 1981, in Cincinnati, Ohio to Betty J. Spearmint (Bailey) and the late Gwyn F. Dorsey. She departed this life on Wednesday, February 15, 2023, at 11:00 pm.
Netta was the first of four children. She was baptized at a young age, grew up in Christ Emmanuel Christian Fellowship, and loved attending church with her grandmother, the late Willie Ruth Bailey. She was known as "little missionary."
Netta joined Donnell Payne in holy matrimony on August 26, 2011. She truly loved her husband until her last breath. She was a great wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and grammy. She loved her family with all her heart. Netta loved singing and had a powerful, anointed voice.
Netta was preceded in death by her father, Gwyn F. Dorsey, she leaves to cherish her memories: her husband Donnell; her children: Gi'Azia Bouldin, Zi'Yonn, and Precious; stepchildren: William, Martez, Shana, Qawi, Kellen, her granddaughter Olivia; her mother Betty (Robert); one brother Wayne, II; two sisters: Dewayna and Jemima; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, and other family and friends.
Netta was a joy to be around and loved everyone she encountered very much. She will be missed by many that knew her.
Visitation will be held at 10:00 a.m., on Saturday, February 25, 2023, at Overflow Ministries Covenant Church, 10870 Hamilton Avenue, Cincinnati, 45231 with the memorial service following at 11:00 a.m.
