Gwendolyn L. Neeley was born on September 16, 1930 in Pensacola, Florida to Mary and James Neeley. She was the oldest of two children. , who departed into her eternal reward on March 7, 2015. Gwendolyn loved to serve the Lord and was saved at a very young age. She was a member of New Emmanuel for many years. Following her education she later married and had four children. Which she loved and nurtured. Gwendolyn was a domestic worker for many years providing services in many homes. She choose an early retirement to become a caregiver and a stay at home mom for her handicap daughter Marian. Gwendolyn was very straight forward and always shared her opinion whether you wanted it or not. She was most loving, and had a funny sense of humor and was compassionate to those who needed a home which they all called her "Granny". Gwendolyn was one of a kind, mother and grandmother, no one is or will ever be like her. Gwendolyn was preceded in death by her parents, brother, James Eugene Neeley, daughter, Marian Neeley and grandson, Marcus Lattimore. Gwendolyn leaves to cherished memories with her daughter's, Sonja Holston, and Shannon Neeley; son Gwinnick Neeley, grandchildren, Kenyata Holston, Toya (Ernest) Gable, Shawna Neeley, Vintrel Tolbert, Keon Neeley, Teresheena Williams, Adrianna Etter, Jamar Neeley, Quinton Neeley and Gustina Neeley; 26 great-grandchildren a host of nieces and nephews.
