Gwendolyn Louise
Cobb
June 27, 1954 — August 23, 2026
Forest Park, OH
Gwendolyn “Gwen” Cobb was born on June 27, 1954, to the late Robert Cobb and Dorothy Cobb (Rudolph). Gwen lived a life marked by strength, compassion, faith, and an unwavering love for her family.
Gwen accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior and attended New Prospect Baptist Church. Her faith remained an important part of her life and helped shape the love and care she extended to those around her.
Gwen dedicated more than 30 years of service to the medical field as a Registered Nurse. Caring for others was more than a profession for Gwen; it reflected the compassion, strength, and dedication she carried throughout her life. After years of serving others through nursing, Gwen also ventured into real estate, where she took pride in providing safe and comfortable dwellings for others.
Above all else, Gwen loved her family—especially her boys. She was a devoted mother whose love for her sons, LeAndre Hill and Brandon Hill, was immeasurable. Her children and family were at the center of her heart and remained among her greatest joys.
Gwen was the eldest of her living siblings, and she did not play about that role. She took it very seriously and was always a phone call away whenever a problem arose. When something happened, everyone knew who to call. She was a source of strength, guidance, wisdom, and love for her family. Gwen was the very definition of a strong, phenomenal Black woman—resilient, independent, loving, and unwavering in the way she stood for and protected the people she loved. Gwen’s final wish was simply to have her family all together—a beautiful reflection of what mattered most to her throughout her life.
Gwen was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Cobb and Dorothy Cobb (Rudolph); her brothers, Charles “Chuckie” Cobb and Neat; and her beloved son, Stanley Cobb.
She leaves to cherish her memory her sons, LeAndre Cobb and Brandon Hill; her grandchildren, LeAndre Cobb Jr., LeAsia Cobb, Saniaa Cobb, Lemyia Cobb, Armyia Watkins, Brandon Hill Jr., TI’Juan Moore, Bakari Cook, and Malani Hill; and her great-grandchildren, Nami Alani Watkins-Hill and Nylo Nahmir Watkins-Hill.
She also leaves behind her loving siblings, Katherine (Frank) Malone, Robert Cobb, Regina Cobb, and Mark (Gayle) Cobb, along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends who will forever cherish her memory.
Gwen’s presence will be deeply missed, but the love she poured into her family will continue to live through every life she touched. Her strength, her wisdom, her caring spirit, and most of all, her love for her family will remain a part of her legacy for generations to come.
