Gregory Talbert Wright was born on April 17, 1953, in Cincinnati, Ohio, to the late Travus and Gladys Wright.  He was the youngest of five children.A proud graduate of Hughes High School in 1973, Gregory went on to build a diverse career, contributing his talents at Hamilton County Juvenile Court, the City of Cincinnati, and other employment opportunities.

He cherished the simple joys of life and found the greatest happiness in watching scary movies, murder mysteries, sports, and spending quality time with his family, whether it was a family gathering, sharing his love for music, or indulging in delicious foods, which often became another opportunity to connect with those around him.

Music was the heartbeat of Gregory's life.  Anyone within earshot could feel his appreciation for rhythm and melody.  He found joy in all genres and often shared his passion with those he loved.  Though words became harder to find, he continued to hum his favorite tunes with clarity and grace.  His melodies carried with them memories, strength, and the soul of a man who never stopped loving the things that brought him joy.

Gregory was preceded in death by his beloved sisters, Carolyn Wright, Diane Wright, and Shirley Wright, as well as his nephews, Travus Wright III and James Wright. Though he deeply felt their sense, he carried their memory with him every day and now joins them in eternal rest.

He leaves behind his only brother, Travus Wright Jr.  Gregory was a proud and devoted father to his four children: Keith Andre (Andria), Tiffany, Courtni, and Larry.  He was a doting grandfather to six grandchildren who will forever carry his love, laughter, and wisdom forward.  Also, he had a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends, each of whom held a special place in his heart.

Gregory Wright's life was one of quiet impact and profound love.  Everyone will miss his presence, but his spirit will continue to resonate in the lives of all who knew and loved him.  May he rest in peace, surrounded by the melodies he loved so dearly and the eternal warmth of his family reunited.

Gathering of family and friends is from 10:30 am until 11:00 am, on  Saturday, July 12, 2025, at the Walker Funeral Home - Walnut Hills Chapel, 2625 Gilbert Avenue, Cincinnati  (45206).   The memorial service will immediately follow the visitation beginning at 11:00 am.
