Gregory Lee Scruggs affectionately known as Greg or "G" to many, was born on March 1, 1959 to Ivery Williams Scruggs & Charles Scruggs Sr. He now joins three of the closest people to his heart, his sister Deborah Scruggs, her son Craig Scruggs and his mother Ivery. He is survived by his father & step-mother Mama Scruggs, aunts Charlene Golden & Norvalen Blackman as well as two uncles; James Williams & Louis Rone, Brothers Tyrone Twiggs, Reggie Scruggs, Reginald Scruggs & sister Sharon. One biological child (with mother Gail M. Parrish Merriweather) a daughter named Shameka L. Parrish-Wright (James H. Wright III) and six grandchildren; Shameka Mitchem, Damiona, Shamari, Zacaria, James & Jaiden. Step- Kisha Parrish & Gregory Parrish and their combined 9 children, nephews Pierre Berry & Kareem Howell and nieces Bakita Berry & Tish Twiggs. There are a host of loving great nieces, nephews & cousins. Greg was an avid reader, loved music and to flirt with the ladies. He was saved at an early age, remained very spiritual and a true believer. He attended Woodward High School, worked as a laborer & creative salesman most of his life. Early years were a struggle and he had a record/reputation to prove it! As he grew older he became a wise "tell it like it is" adviser to MANY. In his later years, he focused on his health, cat, family & friends. His unexpected death was a result of severe heart & respiratory issues. He died alone in his apartment but loved to be out & about and would spend lots of time at Fountain Square in Downtown, Cincinnati, Ohio. He believed in community, life, love, fairness & individuality! Visitation is from 3:00 pm until 4:00 pm, on Wednesday, June 17, 2015, at the Walker- Walnut Hills Chapel, 1025 E.
