Gregory Lee Bush Sr., was born on June 12, 1956 in Cincinnati, Ohio to Barbara Redmon Dailey and raised by the late Rufus Lee and Martha Bush. Gregory slipped away peacefully to be with our Lord and Savior on Friday, October 10, 2014, after a sudden illness. At the time of passing, he was 58 years old. Gregory confessed Christ at an early age, and he was baptized by Rev. Garner. At the age of four, Greg had a natural talent playing the piano and organ. He attended music school and became an accomplished musician. Gregory played for various churches and notable bands such as: 'High Thymes' and other well known celebrities including a musical presentation with Stevie Wonder. Gregory was educated in the Cincinnati Public School System and he attended Woodward High School. Gregory later obtained his high school diploma through the Ohio Department of Education. Gregory was smart and knowledgeable. He was well versed in many topics and could hold a conversation with almost anyone. On September 29, 1979, Gregory was united in marriage with his childhood sweetheart, Kimith Colvin by Rev. Garner. To this union was blessed with one son, Gregory Lee Jr. and one daughter, Danielle Nicole. On September 29, 2014, Gregory and Kimith celebrated 35 years of marriage. Gregory was employed by Fidelity Mortgage Company as a Loan Officer until his health began to fail. As a result, he received a kidney transplant. Gregory was employed as a Sales Design Consultant where he received numerous awards for exemplary service and outstanding sales until his health declined again. Inspite of all these setbacks, he remained in good spirits until the end. Gregory loved fashion and style, he was outgoing with a charismatic personality, along with a great sense of humor, loved jazz, and to travel. Gregory was preceded in death by a foster brother, Darrell Lee Rembert. He leaves to mourn his passing, but cherish his memory: a wife, Kimith; one son, Gregory Lee (Carmen) Bush, Jr., one daughter, Danielle Nicole (Jervano) Colin; nine granddaughters, Jaela, Jasmine, Aniyah, Trinity, Jaia, Angel, Paris, Ashanti and Tranae; three grandsons, Jervane, Gregory III, Jaden; three great-grandchildren, Lamont Jr., Jade and Tristan. A natural mother, Barbara Redmon Dailey; two natural brothers, Michael (Kathey) Dailey, Charles (Tamaria) Dailey; mother-in-law, Shirley D. Kelsey; sisters-in-law, and brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, and many other relatives. Two special childhood friends, Alfred Berry Jr., and Mark Anthony Emory. Gregory L. Bush, age 58, passed away Friday, October 10, 2014, in Cincinnati, Ohio. He was born June 12, 1956 in Cincinnati, Ohio. Funeral Services will be conducted at 11:30 am on Saturday, October 18, 2014 at Metropolitan CME Church, 2815 Melrose Place, Cincinnati (45206) with visitation from 10:00 am until 11:30 am.
