Grace Anne Sumler, age 73, passed away June 7, 2013. Grace A. Sumler was born on October 5, 1939 to Ervin and Jamezetta Frye. . Grace was a beautiful and generous lady. She was graceful and full of life. She was outspoken and full of fire yet she was the most loving woman to her children and grandchildren. She loved God and gospel songs and was baptized at Mt. Olive Church in the West End. Grace was a beloved member of the Lincoln Center and took Tai Chi for many years. She was honored as Senior of the Year in 2012 and celebrated at the Hyatt Regency. She enjoyed reading, bowling,word games, watching tennis and the cooking channel. Grace was employed at Procter and Gamble for 23 years and retired from there in 2001. She was the 14th child of 15 and was the last one to go home. She was preceded in death by all her brother and sisters. Grace was an amazing woman and she had more strength and perseverance than many her age. She was giving and made great sacrifices for her family. Grace leaves her memories to be cherished by: five children, Rodney Frye, RoShelle Smith (AI), Gloria Frye Everson, Timothy Frye & Douglas Sumler, 12 grandchildren, a host of other relatives and friends.
