Mr. Gordon Eugene Cross Sr. was born on March 6,1950, In Addyston, Ohio to bless this union of the late Mr. Homer L Cross Sr. and Mrs. Mary Evelyn Cross.

Bobby was called home to be with the Lord on December 17, 2021, after a long courageous battle with cancer.

He attended Addyston Elementary School and graduated from Taylor High School in North Bend, Ohio. Bobby confessed his faith in God at an early age. He joined and was baptized at Phillip Chapel C.M.E. Church of Addyston, where he sang in the choir. He enjoyed playing softball and later became a coach of the girls' softball team.

Bobby was employed at Gulf Refinery until the plant closed in 1986, later worked at Emery, and was an employee for the Village of Addyston, Ohio until his retirement.

In 1980 Bobby was united in marriage to his childhood sweetheart Bonnie Sue Cross (Starks-deceased) to this union they were blessed with four children, Richard, Robert, David and Gordon Jr.

He leaves to mourn his passing his sons Richard Starks, Robert Starks, David Cross and Gordon Cross Jr. his grandchildren Caitlin, Tristan, Alexis, Jordon, Andre, Zachary, and Chelsea. His three Sisters, Gwendolyn, Jean, Faith and one brother Owen Cross Sr. Bobby also leaves a host of Nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews, relatives and friends.  He will be welcomed home by his two sisters Mary Lola and Marcia. Three brothers Homer Jr., Richard & Stephen (Butchie)

Visitation is from 10:00 am until 11:00 am, on  Monday, December 27, 2021, at the First Missionary Baptist Church, 319 Sekitan Ave., Addyston  (45001).  The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation beginning at 11:00 am.

Interment will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery, 9570 Valley Junction, Cleves, Ohio 45002.

In keeping with CDC Covid19 Guidelines, we encourage those who are not fully vaccinated to wear a mask and practice social distancing.
