Gloria Jean Berry, the beloved mother to Vickie Berry Cobbina (61) of Columbus, Ohio, passed away at her home on May 26, 2024, leaving a void in her daughter's and long-term companion, Roosevelt Yates', hearts that only the peace that surpasses all understanding may one day fill.

Gloria was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, in 1945 to Henry Fagan and Bernice Fagan (Lee). She attended Hays Elementary, Porter Jr. High, and later studied at Taft High School.

Gloria was a devoted mother to Vickie, who was her pride, joy, and travel companion. Gloria was always ready to join her daughter on amazing and daring adventures. She felt loved and supported by her family and many friends.

Gloria took special joy in encouraging Vickie and Roosevelt in their educational pursuits. She had fond memories of many nieces, nephews, and friends as they achieved great milestones. Gloria was well-loved by neighbors in the OTR.

Gloria was preceded in death by her father, Henry; mother, Bernice; brother, Clifford; sister, Delois; brother, Henry Jr.; sister, Deborah; and husband, Joseph Berry. She is survived by her sisters, Lottie and Joyce Ann, who will never forget the love she brought into their lives.

Visitation is from 10:00 am until 11:00 am, on  Saturday, June 15, 2024, at the Walker Funeral Home - Walnut Hills Chapel, 2625 Gilbert Avenue, Cincinnati  (45206).   The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation beginning at 11:00 am. Friends and family will gather to share memories, find solace in one another's company, and honor the legacy she leaves behind.

Interment will follow at Spring Grove Cemetery.
