Giovonne Eugene Foree, known to the world as "Skree Baby", passed away at home on Tuesday, July 8, 2025 after battling illness with unwavering strength and determination.

Born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio, Gio was the beloved first-born son of Joevonne and Christine Foree. He grew up in Bond Hill and was educated in Cincinnati Public Schools, where he made a name for himself as a standout athlete, class clown, and a social connector who never met a stranger. Gio was known for his sense of humor, magnetic personality, and fearless authenticity.

In 2017, he graduated from Cincinnati Cooks, where he trained as a chef, combining his creativity and love for food to bring joy to others. He pursued this passion professionally until his health  declined. A gifted artist and lyricist, Gio wrote, recorded, and produced original rap albums that told his story with raw honesty and pride, lifting  up the truths of his life and his community.

Known for his sharp eye in predicting game outcomes, Gio was a passionate, lifelong Cincinnati Bengals fan and avid sports enthusiast who never missed a chance to support his team or place a winning wager.He loved fishing, bowling, and friendly trash-talking—especially when surrounded by the people he held close in his heart.

Gio loved deeply and lived on his own terms. He married  Ebony Meatchem who cared for him with extraordinary strength, patience, and devotion throughout his illness. A dependable friend who gave freely and supported faithfully, Gio was also a proud and loving father, stepfather, and a guiding presence in the lives of many young people.

He is survived by his wife, Ebony Meatchem; his children, Giaunne "GiGi" Foree and Giovonne "Baby G" Foree; his parents, Joevonne and Christine Foree; his sisters, Javonda Foree and  Jazmine Jackson; his brothers, Benneet Harrison (Natisha), Christopher Foree, Jamond Foree, and Aaron Glenn; his stepchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and many  others whom he mentored and fathered over the years.

Gio's legacy lives on in every song he made, every joke he told, every life he touched, and every heart he held. He was truly one of one—and he will be deeply missed.

Visitation is from 10:00 am until 11:00 am, on  Friday, July 18, 2025, at the Walker Funeral Home - Walnut Hills Chapel, 2625 Gilbert Avenue, Cincinnati  (45206).   The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation beginning at 11:00 am. Christopher Foree, Eulogist.  Friends and family will gather to share memories, find solace in one another's company, and honor the legacy he leaves behind.
