Gilbert Eugene Bixler Jr, age 67, of Crittenden, Kentucky passed away Sunday October 13, 2024. He was born in East Chicago, Indiana on November 23, 1957 to Gilbert Bixler and Mary Corey (nee Houston).

Gib enjoyed his life. He enjoyed fishing. He loved a bonfire. He was always the fire starter. He enjoyed going on trips to Tennessee. He also enjoyed cooking Cabbage on the grill.

He married Laura Kimberling Bixler later divorced and moved to Kentucky. They had 6 Children together, Billy Bixler of New Ross Indiana, Steven Bixler of New Ross Indiana, Jessica Bixler of Crawfordsville, Indiana, Ashley Bixler of New Ross  Indiana, Kelvin Bixler of New Ross Indiana, Cassie Bixler of New Ross Indiana. He also had an older daughter Amy jo Amy of Corydon Indiana. He had 7 children all together.  He had 18 grandchildren. and 5 great grandchildren.

His survivors are 2 brothers Steve Bixler and David Bixler. And 2 very special brothers Lee Gline  and Ron Hicks (Big Kid) both of Crittenden Kentucky.  He also had a family brother James Stranger of  Crawfordsville Indiana.  He has a nephew Scott Hill and Niece Audrey Hill.  He made many friends that became family to him.

He is preceded in death by his father Gilbert Bixler and His mother Mary Corey and His Sister Rhonda Hill.

He will be truly missed.

There will be a Celebration of life for family and family in Indiana at a later date. There will be a Celebration for his Friends and Family in Crittenden Kentucky Saturday October 19th. at 4pm at County Line Liquor.
