July 11, 1946 – July 14, 2020
Geraldine Jean Marie Fisher-Carr was born on July 11, 1946, in Cleveland, Ohio to the union of Ida Lee Garrett Morgan-Walker and Curly Morgan Sr. of Cleveland, Ohio.
Geraldine was called home to be with the Lord at the age of 74. She leaves behind a loving husband, James H. Carr Jr.; her brother, Michael Paul Gerald Morgan Brown; ten children: Howard Eugene Fisher, Deborah Annette Gross, Dianne Evette Barwick (Richard), Shawn Renee Eskridge, Stephanie Denise Garrett-Black (Jonathan), Brian Dean Fisher (Cheryl), Natalie Jean Williams, Christopher Michael Paul Fisher, (Felicia), Angel Michelle Fisher, and Lillia Antoinette Fisher- Diatta (Nfamara –"Papis"); adopted son, Michael Terry Coleman; niece, Stacey Tabitha Morgan, and nephew, Ethan Morgan; 21 grandchildren of which she raised three (Emmanuel, Bradley, and Sammanuel); 16 great-grandchildren; and a whole host of cousins and friends including her best friend Christine Hall-Barker.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Ida Lee Garrett-Walker, her Father Curly Morgan Sr., and brother Curly Jermaine Morgan Jr.
Geraldine had an amazingly wonderful life filled with many successes, she worked 30 years between the Transit Authority of Northern Kentucky (TANK) as a supervisor where she retired, and she was a bus operator at Queen City Metro. She was a graduate of Taft Sr. High School; she completed her associate's degree. She was an ordained minister and a devoted parishioner at Abundant Life Christian Church where she served her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She also served in many capacities at her church to help others whenever there was a need. She was filled with the Holy Spirit at New Jerusalem Apostolic Temple where she sang in the church choir. She was an excellent seamstress, she loved to travel with her loving husband and enjoyed taking care of her family. She loved movies and she loved to laugh and had a wonderful sense of humor. She taught her children very well and left a legacy of love and caring for others, she was an AWESOME mother who sacrificed for us all! She was greatly loved and will be greatly missed by us all.
Gathering is from 2:00 pm until 2:30 pm on Friday, July 31, 2020 at the Walker Funeral Home, 2625 Gilbert Avenue, Cincinnati, Ohio (45206). The memorial service will immediately follow the gathering beginning at 2:30 pm.
