Gerald A. Hunley, Jr., age 51, entered eternal rest on August 4, 2013. The memorial service will be held Friday, August 9 at 11:00 a.m. at Corinthian Baptist Church, 772 Whittier, 45229. Hunley Jr., affectionately known as (Peanut) was born in Sacramento, California on September 10th, 1961 to the union of Gerald Allen Hunley and Mary Elizabeth Hunley. He departed this life for a better life on August 4th, 2013 at University Hospital surrounded by his family and beloved friends. He accepted God as his Lord and Savior at an early age and was an active member of the Choir at First Baptist Church of Mount Auburn. Gerald had a passion for Music, and loved to travel and explore the world that God created. Gerald attended Western Hills High School, as well as the University of Cincinnati. He devoted 20 plus years as an educator for the Cincinnati Public School system, working diligently in the special education division. Gerald leaves to cherish his memory: his partner of 27 years, Robert Golden; one sister, Angelina L. Hunley; two brothers, Arthur L. Hunley and Samuel D. Hunley; aunts, Mildred Hunley and Shirley Hunley; four nieces, two nephews; three great-nieces and great-nephews, and a host of friends and family members. His mother and father, Mary Elizabeth Hunley and Gerald Allen Hunley, preceded him in death.
