Gerald "Jerry" Henry Jr., age 62, transitioned from earth to Heaven on September 13, 2020, in Norfolk, Virginia following an extended illness.  He was the husband of Teresa "Reecie" Turner Henry of Harlan, Kentucky.  Together they shared thirty-eight years of marriage.

Jerry was born on February 16, 1958, in Maysville, Kentucky.  He was the eldest son of the late Gerald B. henry Sr. and Dorothy Jean Henry.  Jerry was number three of nine children.  He graduated from Maysville High School with honors and earned his degree at Morehead State University where he maintained a 4.0 GPA and on the President's List.  Upon graduating from Morehead State University he moved to Harlan, Kentucky and was employed as a Radiologic Technologist at Harlan and Middlesboro ARH Hospital.  Here is where he met his lovely wife "Reecie" and they reared their beautiful family together.  In 2008, Jerry's health started to fail and he resigned from Harlan and Middlesboro Appalachian Regional Hospital.

Jerry is survived by his beloved wife, Teresa "Reecie" Turner Henry; his four beautiful children: Tara (Kareem) Dorsey of Washington, DC, Bradley (Lydia) Henry of Richmond, Texas, Tanita (Mike) Sweat of Chesapeake, Virginia, and Alexander Bynum of Harlan, Kentucky; eight grandchildren: Amir, Ali, and Aaliyah Dorsey, Jordyn  Henry, Carter Milia, Cannon, and Aiden Sweat; four sisters: Cheryl (Eric) Slack of Maysville, Kentucky; Joni (James) Richardson of Cincinnati, Ohio, Mary Carol Henry of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Anita (Robert) Greene of Fairfield, Ohio; four brothers: Charles (Sheila) Henry of Hawthorne, California, Gregory (Vickie) Henry of Maysville, Kentucky, Larry Wayne Henry of Maysville, Kentucky, and David (Vonda) Henry of Jacksonville, Florida; a large number of uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, great-nephews, great-nieces, other relatives, in-laws (in-love), and friends.
