Gerald Blaine Davis, Sr., age 54, passed away February 20, 2014 in Dayton, Ohio. He was born September 9, 1959, in Cincinnati, to Clifford Malvin Davis and Bennie Mae (nee Cotton) Davis. He worked at Cincinnati Metropolitan Housing Authority in Dayton. He was the husband of Ella Rembert-Davis. A Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 27 at 10;00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Walker Funeral Home - Walnut Hills Chapel. Funeral Services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, February 27 at Walker Funeral Home - Walnut Hills Chapel, 1025 E. McMillan Street, Cincinnati (45206). Davis, Sr. and to the late Bennie Mae (nee Cotton) Davis of Cincinnati, Ohio. Gerald married Ella Rembert-Davis on September 17, 1995. From that union, a son was born, Gerald Davis, Jr. Gerald was educated at Woodward High School, where he graduated in 1977. Gerald was a part of the band where he learned to play the trumpet. He graduated from Queen City Community College for Maintenance in 1979. He was employed at Cincinnati Metropolitan Housing Authority for 24 years. Gerald enjoyed being with his family and grandchildren as well as watching movies (cartoons) and cooking. He was a free spirited man and smiled a lot. Gerald was preceded in death by his mother, Bennie Mae (nee Cotton) Davis; brothers, Antonio Davis, Dennis Brian Davis, and Reginald Davis. Gerald is survived by his wife Ella Rembert-Davis; his loving children, Tiah Benford, Tamara Davis, Demeka Gilliam, and Gerald Blaine Davis, Jr. He also leaves to cherish his memory: brothers, Clifford Davis Jr., Derwin Tony Davis, James Davis (Marissa); sisters, Linda (Davis) Belser (Willie), Marsha D. Davis, Tracey Larkin (Clinton), Kelly Davis. Gerald will be dearly missed by his loving family and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, grandchildren and friends.
