Obituary

Georgia Mae Reeves January 13, 1946 - September 17, 2022

Georgia Mae Reeves, the daughter of Tom and Margaret Sanders was born on January 13, 1946, in Brooksville Mississippi.  After a long battle with cancer, she peacefully departed her earthly hone on Saturday, September 17, 2022.

Georgia attended church as a young girl in Brooksville, MS, she united with St. Mary Baptist Church in 1981 under the leadership of Reverend Joseph Williams.  She was a member of the Missionary Ministry, Outreach Ministry, Pastor's Aid Ministry as well as a member of the Choir Ministry.  Georgia was a selfless servant who always put others ahead of herself, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her..

Georgia attended and graduated from Cutter High School and soon after, went to work at Deer Park Nursing Home.  She found her niche in 1977 and joined Grafton's Restaurant as a cook where she worked for 32 years before retirement.

Georgia was joined in Holy Matrimony on December 25, 19b71, to Melvin Reeves and to this union, they had two children: Melvina Hickson and Tommy Reeves.

Georgia in her younger years was the life of the party; however, as her relationship grew stronger with God, you could feel and see the transformation! She became a "doer of His word" from feeding, clothing, shelter, necessities, transportation; whatever the need, God allowed Georgia to bring  Sunshine to others

Georgia leaves to cherish her memory: Melvin; Children: Donald Jones, Debby (Mike) Taylor, Teri Jones, Melvina (Donte) Hickson and Tommy Reeves.  Siblings: Eppie (Charlie) Gordon, Elder Willie Bell (Edward), Dorothy (J.T) Selvie, Betty (James) Cunningham, Andrew King and Willie Anthony (Theresa) Cain; Grandchildren: William Sutherlin, Timothy Johnson Jr, Nico Smith, Andre Curry, Brandon Kiser, Willie Love and Kejuan Hickson; Great Grandkids: Charles Bishop, Elijah Sutherlin, Armyah Sutherlin, Andre Curry 2nd, LaMiyah Curry, Timothy Johnson 3rd, Kalebs Curry and Raymeir Sutherlin.  Nephew; Lee Gilliam: and Niece: Tanesha Gilliam.  Timothy Johnson Sr. and a host of other relatives and friends.
