Willis, Sr., was born on December 27, 1936 to Clarence and Bunna Willis. He was the 6th child of 13 children. After relocating from Alabama to Cincinnati, Ohio he united with James Temple Church of God in Christ. He married Thelma Bullock and out of this union was born nine children. He was preceded in death by his wife, Thelma Bullock-Willis; one son, Eugene Willis; two daughters, Delores Willis and Joyce Ann Willis; his parents, Clarence Willis and Bunna Willis; two brothers and five sisters. He leaves to cherish his memory: three sons, George Willis Jr. (Kim), Kevin Willis and Arlando Willis (Renee); three daughters, Marie Bell (Charles), Vanessa Willis and Cynthia Willis (Thomas); one brother, Henery Willis (Marie); four sisters, Lucille Dorsey (Verdie), Lola Elliott, Voncille Elliott (Elmer), Gloria Waller; two brothers-in-law, Supt. James Roy Willis, Sr. (Johnnie) and Elmer Bullock; one sister-in-law, Edith Bullock and a host of other relatives and friends.
