IN LOVING MEMORY OF

George Nelson

Hill

November 4, 1974 – November 23, 2021

Obituary

God had plans to enrich everyone's life with laughter and love when George N. Hill was born on November 4, 1974, to the union of George W. and Claudia Hill in Cincinnati, Ohio.

George was a very happy, intelligent, and inquisitive child.  At the age of two, he removed all the facings off the electrical plugs with a screwdriver. When George was nine, he requested a soldering iron for Christmas to work on the many broken radios and transistors he kept in a box under his bed.

In school, teachers frequently sent home notes commenting on his academics and his potential to earn a living as a writer. George graduated from Hughes High School in 1993 with a focus on computers.  However, his entrepreneurial and free spirit allowed him to leave his mark on several industries.  Whether it was his first job at age sixteen working at Cohens shoe store, to his time working at Hoxworth or as a CDL Class A driver, George worked hard and got all that he could out of each opportunity.

On June 11, 1996, God expanded George's world and heart when he and Rhonda welcomed their baby girl. George stepped into the role of father and protector immediately making his fight to raise Kyia as a single father seem easy.

George's intrinsic belief in love, allowed him to connect with Monica Ware, a longtime friend. George loved and cared for Monica's children like he cared for his own. The couple became engaged and on July 9th, 2020 welcomed a daughter, Myia N. Hill.

George LOVED the LORD. George grew up in the Apostolic faith and knew the word of God. George became an ordained minister at Bethel #2 Apostolic Pentecostal Church.

George's humor was unparalleled. Laughter was his tool for navigating through life. George brought light to all those he met. George knew no strangers and was always joking with those around him. If he loved you, you were loved hard. George made sure you knew it and felt it.

George is preceded in death by his father, George W. Hill.

He is survived by his mother, Claudia Gooch, daughter Kyia Hill, granddaughter Ava Hill, fiancé Monica Ware, daughter Myia Hill, bonus children Jamari Ware, Jordan Ware, and Maliyah Ware, sister Sharon Hill, brother Terrence Hill Sr., sister Roslind Jones (Andrea), brother Aaron Hill (Nikea) and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, family, and friends.
