George L. Lites Jr was born on December 26, 1927 in Gaston, South Carolina. He was one of eight childrne born to Samuel Lorick and Elizabeth Lites. He departed this life on September 13, 2010 at his home in Lincoln Heights, Ohio. He served his country in WWII and was honorably discharged. He toured in France and Germany. He was a quiet man. He was sometimes called "Quiet One." After 45 years at Jefferson Smurfit, George retired and spent his time fishing. He was a great fisherman. He traveled to South Carolina gardening and growing large tomatoes. He enjoyed sitting back watching people and the clouds. He helped others with transportation to the store and helped his neighbors. He leaves to mourn one sister, Mildred McWhorter and longtime friend Zenobia R. Mitchell.
