George Lyne Blakey, age 75, of Cincinnati, passed away on Thursday, February 27, 1997, in Cincinnati,  Ohio.   He was born  July 15, 1921, in Chicago, Illinois.

He leaves to cherish his memory, daughter, Ms. Beverly Raheem; sons, Bernard, George and Gray Blakey; granddaughters, Kelly (Curtis) Ribers and Bethany Blakey; grandsons, Paul Martin, Brian Blakey and Justin Blakey; great-granddaughter Kayla Ribers; sisters, Etta Blakey and Ella Pearl Haynie; brother Melvin Blakey; sisters in law, Mary Minnie and Esterlene Blakey and Edith Williams; brother in law Williams Gray and other relatives and friends.

Service 7pm, Tuesday, March 4, 1997 at Bethel Baptist Church, 2712 Alms Place, Cincinnati 45206 with Dr. Wayne R. Davis officiating.

Interment Wednesday, March 5, 1997 at 10:00 a.m.,  at Spring Grove Cemetery, 4521 Spring Grove Avenue, Cincinnati, Ohio 45232.
