Gary Wells January 22, 1942 - August 4, 2023

Gary Wells, age 81,  of Erlanger, Kentucky, passed away after being in Hospice on August 4, 2023,  at Rosedale Green in Covington, Kentucky.

He was the widower of his loving wife Doris Ann Wells, married 52 years.  He is survived by his loving son Paul Wells and his wife Kimberly, and grandson Jake.  Additional survivors include his sister, Shirley Robinson of Engelwood, Florida; nephews,  Marty Wells, Curtis Robinson, and Lee Wells;  and nieces,  Gina Ross and Davida Eley.

Gary was born January 22, 1942,  to the late Orien Martin Wells and Mildred Hughes in Wellington, Menifee County, Kentucky.  He graduated from Middletown Ohio High School in 1960, and joined United States Army.  After serving in the Army in Korea, he came back to the US in 1963, and enrolled in Baptist Bible College of Springfield, Missouri.  He Graduated in 1966 as a Graduate in Theology.

In 1972, he moved to Erlanger, Kentucky to raise his family with his loving wife Doris.  He had many interest, history, basketball, baseball, and his friends at Florence Baptist Temple, which he attended for 50 years.

Gary helped teach the Young at Heart Class at Florence Baptist Temple, with Doris at his side.  He loved the Lord so much and his generous heart and nature will be missed.

After Doris's unexpected passing, Gary lived with his son Paul, and his family Kimberly, and Jake, until moving to more independent living at Magnolia Springs in Florence, Kentucky.

Visitation is from 11:30 am until 12:30 pm, on  Thursday, August 24, 2023, at the Florence Baptist Temple, 1898 Florence Pike, Burlington, Kentucky  (41005).   The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation beginning at 12:30 pm.

Interment will follow at 2:00 p.m., at  Forest Lawn Memorial Park,  3227 Dixie Highway, Erlanger, Kentucky (41018).
