Obituary

With loving hearts and cherished memories, we celebrate the life of a devoted father, beloved brother, supportive husband and faithful servant of Christ, Gary Miller Sr.,  who was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on November 24, 1958, to Ernest Miller and Arvella Taylor (Miller) who preceded him in death along with his stepbrother, Robert "Bobby" Harrison.

Gary Sr. departed this life on Friday January 30, 2026, and is survived by his wife, Rachel (Craig Pointer) Miller.

Known far and wide as the best-dressed man in any room, Gary Sr. carried himself with confidence and style. Whether stepping out in a sharp suit or cruising in one of his beloved Cadillac cars, he made a statement without saying a word. He loved music and filled every room with rhythm, joy, and laughter. A true jokester, he had a gift for lifting spirits and bringing smiles wherever he went.

His life reflected Proverbs 17:22, "A merry heart doeth good like a medicine." Gary Sr. impacted the lives of so many people in ways both big and small. His love and laughter were so infectious that anyone who encountered him left feeling lighter and uplifted. He had a way of making people feel seen, valued, and loved. Whether through a joke, a helping hand, wise advice, or simply his presence, he left a lasting imprint on every heart he touched. The memories he created will forever live on through the stories shared, the laughter remembered, and the love carried forward by those blessed to know him.

Gary Sr., legacy lives on through his son Gary Miller Jr., father of his grandsons Gevonte Miller, GeShaun Miller, his daughter LaKesha (Miller) Bryant, mother of his grandson Jayden Bryant; two step-children Kiyana Lattimore and Craig Lattimore. Gary Sr.'s children and grandchildren were the absolute joy of his life. He poured his love, wisdom, and strength into them, leading by example and reminding them daily how deeply they were loved. As it is written in Proverbs 22:6, "Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it." He lived this scripture through his guidance, protection, and unwavering presence.

Gary Sr. was born one of five children, and he shared a special bond with his siblings, whom he honored throughout his life. He leaves behind three loving sisters Marilyn Miller, Pamela (Johnson) Bedford, Denise Miller, one devoted brother Eric Miller; stepbrother Arthur Harrison, and a host of step-grandchildren, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends who will forever treasure his laughter, wisdom, and steadfast love.

Gary Sr. was a generous gentleman always willing to help, always ready to give, and always present when someone was in need. Above all, he dedicated his life to Christ. His faith guided his steps and shaped the way he loved others. He embraced everyone with the love of Christ—freely.

Though he is no longer with us in body, his legacy of love, laughter, faith, and family will continue to shine brightly in the lives of all who knew him. Let us find comfort in the assurance of 2 Timothy 4:7: "I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith.

Gary Miller Sr. will be deeply missed, forever loved, and always remembered.
