It is with profound sadness that we announce the heavenly transition of Gary Howlett Holston, age 63, of Toledo, Ohio, who entered eternal rest on Monday, May 11, 2026, in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Born in Toledo, Ohio,  at St. Vincent Hospital.  He attended St. Angela Hall and St Mary’s, attended Central Catholic and Rogers High School. Was in Army and received an honorable discharge. He did an apprenticeship in Plumbing, Heating and Electrical with his father.  He was a Truck Driver until he became disabled.  He met and married Carla and became an instant father to Earl, Precious and Shed Smith. 21 grand children and 7 great grandchildren. 3 CB buddies Lloyd (Beaver Squeezer) Williams, Dwight (Raisin) Wainwright, Mark Bell. Surviving siblings Larry (Cynthia) Holston, Lurena Rochelle Hearn. Nieces and Nephews. 

Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from 1:30 pm until 2:30 pm, on Friday, May 29, 2026, at the St. Mark Baptist Church, 2340 N Holland Sylvania Rd, Toledo, OH (43615). The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation, beginning at 2:30 pm. Friends and family will gather to share memories, find solace in one another's company, and honor the legacy he leaves behind.
