Gary Anthony Harrison, age 64, passed away May 23, 2013. Gary Anthony Harrison, the third oldest of eight children, was born on March 25, 1949 in Cincinnati, Ohio, to the late Essie Mae and James Harrison. He departed this life on May 23, 2013, at the Mountain Crest Nursing Home, after battling many years of illness. Anthony, as he was known by family and friends, was preceded in death by his brothers Michael and Derek. Anthony attended Courter High School, and after graduation he entered the U.S. Army. He served in the Vietnam War where he was wounded and received the Air Medal, Purple Heart, Vietnam Service Medal with 3 Bronze Service Stars, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal Ribbon with Device (1960), and the Combat Infantryman Badge. Anthony was a great talker and he enjoyed sharing stories about his time spent in Vietnam.
