IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Frederick Blaine
Williams, Jr.
February 19, 1962 – January 4, 2025
Born in San Diego, California, Frederick Blaine Williams Jr. lived a life full of love, laughter, and faith. He was the beloved son of Juliette Williams, a dedicated nurse, and Frederick Blaine Williams, a proud Navy serviceman. He was a cherished sibling to Mark & Melanie Williams, and Cynthia Williams, and a devoted father to Frederick Williams III (Tre), Monica Williams, and Kendra Moore. His legacy continues through his grandchildren: Juliette, Alayla, Ariya, Zavier, Ka'Deon, ZyiMirah, Kayliese, Za'Riyah, and KeyOni, as well as his bonus grandchildren, Mikyla, Mariyah, De'Marcus, Mehlani, and Meiona, who brought him endless joy. Affectionately known as Grandpa or Pappy by his grandchildren, he was their constant source of love and light. In his later years, he shared his life with his significant other and best friend, Cookie, who provided unwavering love and care.
Frederick, also known as Fred, dedicated his career to service and skill, proudly serving in the U.S. Army Reserves and working as a skilled mechanic. Beyond his professional achievements, his greatest joy came from being an amazing father and grandfather, always present and filled with love for his family. Baptized in 1999 at Union Baptist Church, he embraced his faith wholeheartedly and lived a life that reflected the love of Christ through his words and actions. A man of many passions, Fred found joy in music, fishing, golf, and grilling. He was an artist at heart, exploring drawing, painting, and even musical instruments. A devoted fan of Gunsmoke and Star Trek, he never passed up the chance to relax with a good show or read the Bible. However, his greatest joy came from spending time with his grandchildren, volunteering, and bringing light to everyone he met. Fred also took pride in dressing sharply, enjoying the chance to look his best and make an impression wherever he went.
Fred was known for his big, fun personality and a contagious laugh that could light up any room, along with his youthful, strong-willed, and witty spirit. He was easygoing, endlessly optimistic, and always playful, finding joy in life's little moments. He never met a stranger, always saw the good in everyone, and valued family above all else.
Even in the face of health challenges, Fred refused to let anything hold him back. His determination and humor were captured in stories like his gymnastics attempts, where his love for life and refusal to give up led to more than a few memorable moments—like flipping, falling, and laughing his way through it all.
Fred leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, and laughter. He valued reading God's Word, lifting others up, and being present for his family. He was an example of how to live with purpose, kindness, and an open heart.
