IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Frederick L
Wilson
April 23, 1959 – December 4, 2023
Frederick L Wilson April 23, 1959 - December 4, 2023
Frederick L. Wilson, fondly called "Fred", was born on April 23, 1959, to the late Pettus W. Wilson and Janie M. Wilson in Cincinnati, Ohio. He was the fourth child of nine born to this union. He entered into his eternal rest on December 4, 2023.
Frederick was our hero. He endured as a good soldier. He was strong and faced every challenge he was faced with courage and strength. He was never afraid even when uncertain. He knew he had to go on and endure – and that he did gracefully. Our family is so proud of him, and grateful to God that He blessed us with Fred.
Frederick accepted Christ at a young age at New Mission Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Rev. G.Q. Brown. He later went to Trinity Missionary Baptist Church, under the late Dr. N. Spencer Glover. After continued health issues, Frederick was not able to return as often.
Frederick loved to sing. He had a very melodious voice. He sang with multiple choirs in his lifespan, but he loved singing with the Trinity Missionary Baptist Church Male Chorus and Choir the most. Frederick was such a kind and gentle soul; he was full of love and would help anyone. He loved and adored his wife, Brenda, and confirmed that daily in word and deed. He loved his family near and far. Frederick would check up on everyone when he could, and we would check up on him. We are going to miss him.
Frederick graduated from Withrow High School in 1978. He furthered his career in IT Tech earning a degree in Information Technology. He loved working with PCs, phones, and anything that he could get his hands on.
Frederick was preceded in death by his parents: Pettus W. and Janie M. Wilson; his father-in-love, Petroleum Maye; sister, Patricia A. Wilson; sister-in-love, Patricia Cook; brothers: Keith Ware, Joseph Kennedy, and Tony Triggs; as well as brother-in-law, Ernest H. Hines.
Frederick leaves to cherish his memory: his loving wife of 33 years, Brenda Maye-Wilson; his mother-in-love, Mrs. Carrie Maye; siblings: Juanita Hines, Ronald Wilson (Anna), Broderick Wilson (Fred's twin), Evangelist Dorothy White (Elder Kevin), Terry Brown, Jerry Brown, Janice Brown, Deborah Maye, Shirley Mason-Gilmore (Albert), Valerie Maye, Latanya Weems, Andre' Triggs (Sharon), Alvin Triggs (LaShann); sister-in-law, Tonya Triggs (wife of deceased brother Tony Triggs); special aunt, Lula Mae Patterson, who named Frederick and Broderick when they were born; plus many other aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
