Fred Lee Pope (Butch) was born to Leslie Pope, Fred Lee on December 22, 1954 in Cincinnati Ohio.

It is with profound sadness that we announce the heavenly transition of Fred Pope, who entered eternal rest on May 31, 2025.

Fred was a Catholic and a dedicated member of St. Joseph Church. He was highly educated, intelligent, charismatic, and compassionate—a joyful spirit who loved everyone and was deeply loved in return. Known for being one of the sharpest dressers around, Fred always presented himself with pride from head to toe.

Fred leaves to cherish his memory his beloved children: Nakita, Nitayo, Miranda, Frederick, Demetrius, and Gerri; his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many dear friends.

A special thanks to Mrs. Geraldine Thornton for never leaving his side. Fred loved her dearly and appreciated her unwavering presence.

There was never a dull moment with Fred. He was full of lively conversation, often while enjoying his beer, smoking a cigarette, and listening to his favorite music. His vibrant energy, kind heart, and unforgettable presence will truly be missed—but never forgotten.

Visitation is from 10:00 am until 11:00 am, on  Friday, June 20, 2025, at the Walker Funeral Home - Walnut Hills Chapel, 2625 Gilbert Avenue, Cincinnati  (45206).   The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation beginning at 11:00 am. Friends and family will gather to share memories, find solace in one another's company, and honor the legacy he leaves behind.

Interment will follow at Spring Grove Cemetery.
