Obituary

Fred  Pierce was born October 4, 1910, in Selma, Alabama to Alfred and Flora Moore.  He was reared by his maternal grandmother, Nicey Pierce.   He passed away on February 14, 2000.

He met and married Mary M. Nixon in Cincinnati, Ohio in 1935.  She preceded him in death.  To the union three daughters were born: Barbara (deceased),  Freddie and Patricia.

Fred was a loving and devoted father, grandfather, and great-grandfather always teaching his family spirtual and moral values.  He believed that everyone should learn all he or she could in life.  As an employee of the Cincinnati Board of Education, he never stopped trying to teach all children the same values he instilled  in his own.

He leaves to cherish his precious memory: two devoted daughters, Freddie M. Sandipher and Patricia Davis-Collins; eight grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, three nieces, six nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.
