Mr. Fred Battle transitioned to be with the Lord on July 25, 2025. He was born on November 11, 1946, to the late Henry and Mercie D., who preceded him in death. Originally from Macon, Georgia, he moved to Cincinnati, Ohio, in the 1970s to provide a better life for his family.

Fred loved playing cards with family and friends. He also enjoyed playing the lottery and visiting the casino.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Emma, and his brothers Leon, Lewis, Thomas, and Joe. His sisters, Lillie, Mary, Peggy, Cora, and Mary, also preceded him in death.

Fred is survived by many loved ones who cherish his memory, including his children, Gwen and Bridget; his sister, Dale; and his brothers, Larry, James, and Casey. He was a proud grandfather to Tiant and DeYeashi. He also leaves behind sisters and brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends.

Visitation is from 2:00 pm until 3:00 pm, on  Thursday, August 7, 2025, at the Walker Funeral Home - Walnut Hills Chapel, 2625 Gilbert Avenue, Cincinnati  (45206).   The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation beginning at 3:00 pm. Friends and family will gather to share memories, find solace in one another's company, and honor the legacy he leaves behind.
