Frankie G. Rice Bumgardner was born on February 28, 1933 to the union of Henry Rice and Frances Dice Rice.

She joined Allen Seminary Missionary Baptist Church at an early age and graduated from Horse Cave Colored High School.

Frankie met Jewel Wayne Bumgardner in the early 60's and they were married on May 4, 1963. They later moved to Cincinnati, Ohio for better job opportunities.

Frankie was a member of Good News Baptist Church where she attended faithfully until her health began to fail.  While still active she loved to cook for church functions.

She enjoyed Bingo, traveling, fast cars and riding horses bareback.

She was preceded in death by: her parents, Henry and Frances Rice; one sister, Leeanna Rice; three brothers, Joe Louis Rice, William (Pookie) Rice and David (Nig) Rice; nieces, Joann Faga and Vickie Rice and nephews, David Rice and Joey Bumgardner.

Frankie leaves to mourn her passing but to cherish her memories to: Iris Bailey (niece, like a daughter); one sister, Mary "Lou" Rice Lewis (James) of  Horse Cave, Kentucky; three brothers, John Allen "Sugar" Rice (Stella) of Cave City, Kentucky, Jimmy Lee Rice (Pat) and Warren Thomas "Tom" Rice (Diane), who was more than a brother, he was like her son, all of Cincinnati, Ohio; sisters-in-law, Betty Rice and Gracie Rice of Cincinnati, Ohio and  Patty Lou Rice of Indianapolis, Indiana; a brother-in-law, W. Harvey (Johnnie) Bumgardner of Elizabethtown, Kentucky; a special friend Jean McEntire and a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Visitation is from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm, on  Saturday, January 5, 2019, at the Good News Baptist Church, 3473 Niagara Street, Cincinnati  (45251).   The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation beginning at 12:00 pm.

Interment will follow at Arlington Memorial Gardens, 2145 Compton Road, Mt. Healthy, Ohio 45231.
