Francis “Frank” Charles Jacques Young, 59, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 21, 2026, in Cincinnati, Ohio. 

Frank was born on January 29, 1967, in France, and brought his unique personality, humor, creativity, and talent into the lives of everyone fortunate enough to know him.

Frank was a remarkably talented and creative man. A gifted welder and craftsman, there seemed to be very little he couldn’t build, fix, or figure out. He generously shared those talents with his family, including helping with renovations in his parents’ home and taking pride in being able to make something out of almost anything. Music was Frank’s biggest passion.

 He was a talented musician who played drums, guitar and was an incredible singer. Whether making music or simply making people laugh, Frank had a way of bringing energy and life wherever he went. Frank was known for his incredible sense of humor and his ability to keep his friends and family laughing. He was the kind of person who always seemed to have a joke, or a trick up his sleeve. 

To his nephews, Noah and Logan, he was the fun uncle—the one who could always be counted on to make them laugh and create a memory they would carry with them.He was also a devoted fan of The Walking Dead, a favorite show that gave him plenty of opportunities to talk characters, survival strategies, and, undoubtedly, what he would do if the zombie apocalypse ever arrived. Frank will be deeply missed by his mother, Louisette Young; his father, Charles Young; his brother, Laurent Raffoux; his sister, Kathleen Young; his daughter, Madeline Young; his nephews, Noah Watkins and Logan Watkins; and many extended family members and friends whose lives he touched. Frank leaves behind more than memories. He leaves behind the things he built, the music he played, the laughter he shared, and the countless stories that will continue to be told about him. He was one of a kind—and there will never be another Frank.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 5, from 3:00–5:00 p.m. at Walker Funeral Home in Mt. Healthy, Ohio. Family and friends are invited to come together to remember Frank, share stories, laugh at the memories, and celebrate the life of a man who made an impression everywhere he went.Rest easy, Frank. You’ll always be the talented son and the fun uncle with a joke up your sleeve and a song in your heart.
