Share special messages with the Payne family at www.HerbWalker.com. Flovonia was born September 20, 1957 in Cincinnati, Ohio to Lena Mae Payne and John Floyd Payne. She was the fourth of five children. She had three children from a previous marriage to Roy Brown and one adopted son. Her parents and brother, Abdul Jabril (Man) preceded her in death. Flo was also known as 'Lady' and 'Nana'. Lady was a soft spoken, loving, caring person who was always listening to others problems and giving advice. She did all she could for others. Nana was not only a wife and mother, but a sister, aunt and grandmother, cousin and friend. She received her GED in 1990. You always could count on her ending each conversation and departure with 'I love you'. Everyone, she made it, a recommended daily allowance' to love and be loved. There was not a passing day she didn't talk about or be with her family. Lady loved her grandchildren, nieces and nephews and showed no favoritism. Complications in her health began in 2012 when she was diagnosed with breast cancer, to later find out she needed a heart valve replacement. She kept her spirits up along with her head and pulled through with flying colors. Everyone remembers her by that everlasting smile, which never let anyone know she was down. She leaves to cherish her precious memory: fiance Joseph (Yogi); children, Roy, Shenean, Cieara, Miliary; siblings, Floyd E. Payne, Jackie McCloud-Wilson (Larry), Everette V. Payne (Erica) of Little Rock, Arkansaw. She was also survived by 14 grandchildren, 11 nieces and nephews, and 16 great-nieces and nephews, along with a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
