Florence Lee Pierce was born September 23rd, 1928 in St. Petersburg, Florida to the late Andrew and Willie Mae Robinson. Florence was the eldest of 6 children, Lem (who has preceded her in death) Marie (who has preceded her in death), Melissa, Beatrice and, Vanessa. Florence met and married JR. Pierce in St. Petersburg, Florida they moved to Cincinnati, Ohio; they had two children Fredericka Mercedes Jinks and Raymond Robinson. Florence joined Bright Star Baptist church and gave her life to Christ, she was a faithful and dedicated Pastor's aid member. She loved to cook & serving people and taking care of her pastor. When Elder Strayhorn would ask for help, Florence would always volunteer to help serve the ministers at the ministers meetings. Florence helped W.L Strayhorn organize the program "Share the Blessings" where they would feed the community several days a week. Florence was a hard working woman; her occupation was cleaning homes and she took pride in doing that and was still working until she got sick and was unable to work anymore. Florence loved her family very much and would cook at every family event and every Thanksgiving & Christmas. Florence leaves to cherish her memories, three loving sisters Melissa, Beatrice and Vanessa, her loving daughter Frederick Jinks (Rev Ronald Jinks) her loving son Raymond Robinson and 8 grandchildren (Ronald , Darrel, Lee, Towanna, Jackie, Cedric, Raynicia and Raymond Jr.) and a host of great grand and great-great grandchildren, nieces & nephews. Funeral Services will be conducted at 11:00 am on Tuesday, March 11, 2014 at Bright Star Baptist Church, 809 Charlotte Street, Cincinnati (45214) with visitation from 10:00 am until 11:00 am.
