Obituary

Fendrich  Clark November 27, 1944 - January 3, 2023

Fendrich Clark, a resident of Forest Park, Ohio, passed away peacefully into Eternal Rest with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Tuesday, January 3, 2023, at the age 78.

Fendrich was born Monday November 27, 1944, in McCracken County Paducah, Kentucky.  He was the second of four sons born to Nancy Catherine Senter. His father was Herman Clark Sr. Fendrich's mother, Nancy Catherine, died when Fendrich was a young child. Fendrich and his three brothers were then adopted and raised by Nancy's sister, Levoria Senter, known affectionately as "Mama". Fendrich always acknowledged the sacrifice that was made to keep the four brothers together as a demonstration of God's Love in Action.

Fendrich was raised in the country surrounded by a large extended family. He often reminisced about playing in the fields; picking blackberries or one of his Mama's great recipes or health remedies. He received his early education in Paducah at the Woodland School and graduated from Lincoln High School in 1963. He went on to attend West Kentucky State Barber College; obtained his license in 1964 and then moved to Covington, KY where he opened his own Barbershop on Greenup Street. He was drafted into the US Army in 1966 where he served as a Sharpshooter & Marksman Prison Guard in Germany. He was awarded the National Defense Service Medal and Army of Occupation Medal in Berlin. He received an honorable discharge in 1968.

Clark was a member of the Elks and the Mason-Shriner Lodge. He was honored by IRA Lodge #37 for his bravery in saving a Child from a Burning Building.

Fendrich met his darling Lue at his Birthday Party before his deployment – he was grateful to be granted that "one wish". Upon his return from Germany, their courtship blossomed, and they were united in marriage on June 20, 1970. God Blessed this union with two children, Randy and Nancy – whom Fendrich loved dearly.

Fendrich, also known as "Clark", returned to Cincinnati and began working for the Procter and Gamble Company - Ivorydale Plant. He worked in various roles and received numerous recognitions and awards during his employment at P&G; including a Substance Abuse Program Counselor. He attended night classes at University of Cincinnati and received an Associates Degree for Business Management and Computers. Clark retired after 30 years in 1998 as Environmental and Protection Plant Manager over Crisco.

After many years of Fellowship, Study and Prayer with his wife, the late Gaston Cogdell, the late Lee Townes, and Donald Hudson, Fendrich was Baptized into Christ in 1987 by Brother Eric Jackson. He served faithfully at Kennedy Heights Church of Christ as a Song Leader, Youth Group Leader; with the Prison Ministry and Family Counseling.

Once retired, Clark truly enjoyed life through service and traveling, especially to Africa and Israel. He Loved fishing in Alaska and the Annual Boat Trips with the Brothers of Kennedy Heights to Lake Maumee. Clark was committed to helping and mentoring young men in or coming out of Rehabilitation, Prisons and Homelessness. He served diligently as a Deacon for the Gray Road Church of Christ for years and with Christians Against Substance Abuse (CASA).

Clark was a man of God; He Loved his Family; He really enjoyed great music, singing and playing cards. He was Charming, Charismatic and had "great" dance moves he'd show off at family gatherings. He was a Confidant and Friend to Many. Clark Loved Gardening and looked forward to receiving the Annual Beautification Award for his yard on Fiesta Court. The highlights of his life came from spending quality time with and supporting the accomplishments of his Children and Grand Children. Clark was preceded in Death by his mothers', Nancy Senter and Levoria Senter. His Father, Herman Clark Sr.; brothers, James Ray Trice, Willis Forrest Senter, and Joseph Trice. Sister-in-Laws, Betty Trice, and Bernice Collins; Brother-in-Laws, Clarence Collins, Jerry Cooper, and Ted Hundley.

His memory will Forever be cherished by those He leaves behind, His Loving Wife of 52 Years, Luevonia "Lue" Johnson Clark.
