Evelyn Turner, affectionately known as “Ebb,” was born on October 10, 1966, to her late parents, Sylvester Turner and Naomi Nelson.

Evelyn grew up in the West End and attended Robert A. Taft High School, where she graduated. She later earned a degree in Office Specialist from Southern Ohio College.

Evelyn was a devoted mother to her three children, Erica, Durrell, and Isiah. She was a steady and present mother who was always on top of things. Evelyn had a sweet and loving spirit and made a lasting impression on everyone she met. To know Evelyn was to love her. She welcomed everyone with open arms and had a special love for children, whom she cared for as a second job.

Evelyn loved spending time with her family and cherished the moments they shared together. She was preceded in death by her parents, Sylvester Turner and Naomi Nelson; her brother, Sylvester Turner; and her great-nephew, John Thomas Bryant.

She leaves to cherish her memory her three children, Erica, Durrell, and Isiah; two sisters, Darlene and Kim; one brother, Keith; one brother in law, Demetrius Anderson; and two very special friends, Denise Ford and Tony Portis.

Evelyn’s legacy of love will continue through her grandchildren, Arionna, Norell, Autumn, Durrell Jr., Felipa, Rakeem, Da’Mauri, Maliyah, Savanna, Brayshawn, Aubree, Amiri, and Elijah; and her two great-grandchildren, Kemarron and Durrell III.

She also leaves to cherish her memory a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from 9:00 am until 10:00 am, on Saturday, August 22, 2026, at the Walker Funeral Home - Walnut Hills Chapel, 2625 Gilbert Avenue, Cincinnati (45206). The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation, beginning at 10:00 am. Friends and family will gather to share memories, find solace in one another's company, and honor the legacy she leaves behind.

She will be laid to rest at Spring Grove Cemetery, 4521 Spring Grove Avenue, Cincinnati, Ohio 45232.
