Evelyn Dace was born in Jackson, Mississippi, on March 19, 1950, to the late Justine and JD Dace, Sr. She was the second oldest of six children and affectionately known by the nickname "Pee-Wee" among family and close friends.

Evelyn moved to Cincinnati, Ohio, at a young age, where she built a beautiful life for herself and her family. She graduated from Hughes High School in 1970, a milestone of which she was very proud.

Evelyn dedicated over 20 years of her career to Kroger's Ice Cream and Beverage as a forklift operator and retired in 2018. She enjoyed watching the Cincinnati Bengals, crafting, and line dancing. One of her greatest joys was her dog, Milo, who was her constant companion. Above all, Evelyn cherished her time with her family. Whether during holiday gatherings or quiet afternoons at home, she found happiness in the love and laughter they shared.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Justine and JD Dace, Sr.; her brothers, JD Dace, Jr. and Charles Dace; her sister, Phyliss Dace-Walker (Tyrone, Sr.); her granddaughter, Brandy Dace; and her nephew, Tyrone, Jr.

Evelyn leaves to cherish her memory her children: Michael Dace, Sr. (LaTanya), Chantra, Shamarra, and Rondale Wilson (Kelsey); five grandchildren: Antonio and Michael Dace, Jr., Amirray Green, Madelyn, and Maxwell Wilson; one great-granddaughter, Brandy Dace; her sister, Jean Byndon (Larry); her brother, Fredrick Dace; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family members, and dear friends.

Evelyn will be remembered for her loving spirit, kind heart, and unwavering devotion to her family and friends.

Visitation is from 10:00 am until 11:00 am, on  Friday, June 13, 2025, at the Walker Funeral Home - Walnut Hills Chapel, 2625 Gilbert Avenue, Cincinnati  (45206).   The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation beginning at 11:00 am. Rev. Roy Rogers, Officiating (Pastor of Second Baptist Church of West College Hill) Friends and family will gather to share memories, find solace in one another's company, and honor the legacy she leaves behind.

Interment will follow at Vine Street Hill Cemetery, 3701 Vine Street, Cincinnati, Ohio 45220.
