Eugene Webb, 84, of Cincinnati, Ohio passed Saturday, May 2, 2015 at Mercy Hospital West. He was born on May 6, 1930 to partents Susie Austin of Wetumpka, Alabama and Lamar Webb, Birmingham, Alabama. Known too many of his friends as 'Spider' Webb. Engene was a people person. He was well known, friendly, and outgoing. A graduate of Harriet Beecher Stowe School and Woodward High School, he excelled at sports, especially, football and track. Eugene worked at the Dalton Street U.S. Post Office for 38 years and retired as a postal Manager. A forerunner and leader, Eugene fought workplace discrimination on many occasions. As a businessman, Eugene was a real estate investor. He was also an avid bowler and received many trophies and awards. Eugene married his high school sweetheart, Margaret Oliver of Livingston, and had 6 children. He leaves behind to honor his memory: wife, Margaret Webb; sister, Reann Maples; daughters, Carolyn Hill, Diane Webb, Marsha Ogletree, Lisa Webb, and Noreen Johnson (Reggie); son, Richard Webb. Grandchildren, D'Andre Montgomery (Gabriel), Melvin Lamar Hill (Carmen), Nicole Goebel (Erich), Brittany Webb, Eric Ogletree (Erica), Ashley Ogletree, Devona Webb, Angela Webb, Michelle Webb; and John Ogletree along with a host of other relatives and friends. Visitation is from 9:00 am until 9:45 am, on Saturday, May 9, 2015, at the Walker - Walnut Hills Chapel , 1025 E. McMillan Street, Cincinnati (45206). The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation beginning at 9:45 am. Interment is in Vine Street Hill Cemetery at Cincinnati, Ohio.
