Obituary

Ethel Mae Guy Bauer, 79, of Cold Spring, Kentucky,  passed away on February 22, 2025 in her home that she shared with her daughter.

She was born on May 10, 1945 to William and Christine Guy, in their home, in Newport Kentucky.  She spent her career as a Licensed Practical Nurse working with elderly patients until she retired to take care of her own mother in 1998.  She was also a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend. She loved music, taking care of and spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Christine and father, William Guy; brothers - Walter Fields, Earl Fields, Chuck (Maudie) and Bill (Martha/living) Guy; sisters - Wilma (Mark) Deaton and Georgia Louise Fields; husband - James Bauer; son - Jeff (Nikki) Bauer; and grandson - Jacob Bowling.

She is survived by brothers - David (Wanda) and Art (Linda) Guy; sisters - Ruth (Walt) Daniel, Mary (Gill, deceased) Bauer; sons - Jim (Cindy) and Joe (Amy) Bauer; daughter - Jane (Earl) Boggs; grandchildren - Jeremy Autry, Ashley (Rob) Whirley, Kristofer, Brett, Jared, Joli, Keelan and Kailer Bauer and James Boggs; great grandchildren - Julian and Jackson Autry and Coleman Whirley; along with countless nieces and nephews as well as a host of extended family and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date, to be determined by the family. In lieu of flowers, the family requests any donations be made to her church, Brooksville Global Methodist in Brooksville, Kentucky.
