Emma Jean Weathington, also known as "EJ" was born to Eugene and Patricia Jane Weathington on April 18, 1961. She departed this life on September 14, 2020.

EJ attended Cincinnati Public Schools and dedicated her life to raising her sons: Antonio and Damon Weathington. She was a mama bear and very protective of them even as adults. She loved her grandchildren dearly.

EJ was fun, loving, and the life of any party. EJ loved to cook, and was well known for her love of dancing and dressing in her stylish clothes. She spent her past time socializing with friends and family daily. EJ never knew a stranger. She would give the shirt off her back, a hot plate, and/or a place to sleep to someone in need. She adored her loved ones and never missed out on any events or milestones in her friends' or family's lives.

EJ is preceded in death by her loving parents Eugene and Patricia and her brothers James and Geno.

EJ leaves to cherish her loving memory sons, Antonio and Damon; bonus daughter-in-law, Ryan; grandchildren, Antonio Jr., Promise, Amari, Niyla, Montana, Damon Jr., and London; goddaughters, Tariqua, and Kisha; godsons, Jermaine and Sonny; siblings, Benita, Dorothy, Jacqueline, Nicholas, Michael, and David; and a host of nieces and nephews, cousins and other family, and friends.

Visitation is from 10:00 am until 11:00 am, on  Thursday, September 24, 2020, at the House of Hope, 1829 Elm Street , Cincinnati  (45202).   The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation beginning at 11:00 am. Everyone attending must wear a mask and practice social distancing.

Interment will follow at Vine Street Hill Cemetery, 3701 Vine Street, Cincinnati, Ohio 45220.

In keeping with the Covid-19 Pandemic restrictions masks are required in order to enter  the service and social distancing must be practiced.  Please be prepared to comply for the safety of all.
