Emma Colbert was born April 26, 1953, in Macon, Georgia to the parents of Harry Colbert and Addie Mae Causey. Both parents preceded her in death.  In her early years, Emma moved to Cincinnati, Ohio to start a better life for her and her family.

She loved cooking and being around family. She was known to many people for cooking the best greens anyone ever had. One thing she enjoyed the most was watching her soap opera then discussing them with her sister Laura Mae.

Emma was preceded in death by her brothers Dan and Willie James Colbert.

Emma Mae leaves behind many loved ones to treasure her memories, her loving husband, Fred Battle; two daughters, Gwen Colbert, and Bridget (Torran) Colbert; two sisters, Laura Mae Battle, and Betty Colbert; one brother, Al Colbert; two grandchildren, Tiant Evans and DeYeashi Dismukes; and a host of family and friends.

Visitation is from 10:00 am until 11:00 am, on Thursday, February 25, 2021, at the Walker- McMILLAN STREET CHAPEL, 1025 E. McMillan Street, Cincinnati  (45206).   The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation beginning at 11:00 am. Everyone attending must wear a mask and practice social distancing.

In keeping with the Covid-19 Pandemic restrictions masks are required in order to enter the service and social distancing must be practiced.  Please be prepared to comply for the safety of all.
