Elve Spencer was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on Poplar Street in the West End.  She was next to the oldest of six children, two boys, Charles and Lloyd (both preceded her in death);  four girls (Elve), Mozella, Ovella, and Dolly (preceded her in death).

They were all raised in the church by their mother, Maude. Jerriel Missionary Baptist Church where Elve sang in the choir and was an Usher under the leadership of Pastor Al Goodwin.  After his passing, she joined Tryed Stone Baptist Church.  Elve was a faithful member to her church.  she was a person with a loving heart.  If you would come to her with a sad face, you would leave with a big smile and hope in your heart.  she would give you the shoes off her feet and the coat off her back.  She truly believed it was better to give than to receive.

She leaves behind two sisters, Mozella and Ovella; a son, Kenneth Spencer; grandchildren, Chassie Spencer Robinson and Amanda Spencer; nieces, Blondell and Pam; nephews, Elliot, Fred, Ricky, and Steve and a host of other relatives and friends.

The Bible will keep you from sin and sin will keep you from the Bible.  You can give without love but you cannot love without giving.  Love is the key, love thy neighbor, as you love thy self.

The family wishes to thank all who have shown acts of kindness and words of comfort in our hour bereavement.  We shall forever be grateful to you.

Visitation is from 10:00 am until 11:00 am, on  Friday, March 26, 2021, at the Walker Funeral Home - Walnut Hills Chapel, 2625 Gilbert Avenue, Cincinnati  (45206).   The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation beginning at 11:00 am. Everyone attending must wear a mask and practice social distancing.

Interment will follow at Vine Street Hill Cemetery, 3701 Vine Street, Cincinnati, Ohio 45220.

In keeping with the Covid-19 Pandemic restrictions masks are required in order to enter  the service and social distancing must be practiced.  Please be prepared to comply for the safety of all.
