Elmer  Gaines "Jake" Grimes, age 61, of Cincinnati, passed away on Wednesday, June 25, 1997, in Cincinnati,  Ohio.   He was born  December 17, 1935, in Owenton, Kentucky.

He leaves his daughter, Robin White, mother, Mary L. Grimes Johnson; grandchildren, Tyron Anderson and Carla Anderson; sister, Mary K. Hilson; brothers, Elder Roger Grimes and Lawrence T. Grimes; special friend Sheila Lewis.

Visitation 6:00 p.m., with funeral at 7:00 p.m., on Sunday, June 29, 1997, at Walker Funeral Home, 2625 Gilbert Ave., Cincinnati 45206.  Rev. Gregory Chandler Sr will officiate.

Interment on Monday, June 30, 1997, at 11:00 a.m.,  at Vine Street Hill Cemetery, 3701 Vine Street, Cincinnati, Ohio 45220.
