IN LOVING MEMORY OF

Ella Louise

(Williams) Jacobs

November 29, 1956 – July 5, 2025

Obituary

Ella Louise Jacobs was born on November 29, 1956, in Cincinnati, Ohio, to the union of Raymond E. Williams Sr. and Virginia Williams, who both preceded her in death. A born-again Christian, Ella found renewed faith and purpose through her walk with Christ.

She became a dedicated member of Cornerstone Baptist church, formally under the leadership of Pastor Jonathan P. Gordon, now led by Pastor Kennen D. Allen Sr., where she worshipped faithfully and built meaningful connections with her church family. After a season of illness, Ella gained her heavenly wings and was called home to be with her Savior on July 5th, 2025.

Ella, also lovingly known to some as "Ella Bell", graduated from Hughes High school and attended a Cincinnati local college before she began her career as a telephone operator for Cincinnati Bell. Ella dedicated more than 20 years of faithful service to Cincinnati Bell, before continuing her career at AT&T where she worked as a long-distance telephone operator. On her days off from work, Ella enjoyed spending time with her beloved sister Dorothy Mae and brother Ray-Ray, both of whom preceded her in death, as well as close friends from Corryville, the neighborhood where she was raised and formed lifelong friendships.

Known for her eye and love for fashion, Ella was proudly considered a "Fashionista" among her family and friends. Her style of dress was unmatched, effortlessly ranging from dressed-to-the-nines elegance to bold Afrocentric attire - and everything in between. She also had a special love for leopard print attire, but no matter the look, each outfit was always stylish, eye-catching, and perfectly pulled together. Ella's warm presence, confident spirit, and impeccable fashion sense definitely lit up any room she entered, leaving behind a legacy of style, strength, and grace.

During Ella's retirement years, she devoted her time to what mattered most - her family. She cherished every moment spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, creating lasting memories filled with love, laughter, and togetherness.

During the holidays, Ella was known for baking her amazing sweet potato pies and her delicious cornbread dressing made with "Jiffy" cornbread and plenty of love. She later passed the cherished recipes down to her daughter Kemyel (as she lovingly called her), and her granddaughter Miniya, both of whom have lovingly attempted to recreate her dishes, though no one could ever quite match Ella's special touch.
