IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Ella (Johnson)
Turner
July 29, 1926 – May 17, 2020
Ella Rose Garnett was born July 29, 1926. She was the youngest of six sisters. She was the daughter of Perry and Lizzie Garnett. In her elementary years she dreamed of becoming a nurse. She loved people. Later in her life, she applied and received a letter of acceptance from the University of Cincinnati School of Nursing. She graduated with a Bachelor's Degree as a Licensed Practical Nurse. She was employed at Bethesda and Good Samaritan Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio. Mama was a dedicated nurse. She loved her patients and cared for them until she retired after 30 years.
In her younger years she married Archie Peterson (deceased). In that union were 5 children: Donald Peterson (deceased), Daniel L. Peterson, Robert Peterson (deceased), Alfreda (Rodney) Napier Sr. and Nathaniel D. Peterson. Later in her life she re-married Mr. Willie J. Turner for 35 years until his death.
I can remember my mother speaking about Sister Rose Johnson and her winning smile and how she loved talking to her. She also mentioned Elder Richard Williams and how he would visit her when he would visit his mother. He would read the Word of God to them.
Mama, I love and miss you. Thank you for the many things you taught me. You taught me to respect myself and hold on to the Lord and be positive and to enhance my career as a Teacher.
Mama was a grandmother and great grandmother.
Grandchildren: Rodney D. (Sharee) Napier Jr, Raymond C. Napier, Eric (Dione) Napier, Dwayne A. Napier, Alicia M. Napier, Andrew Napier, Shawn Napier and Shyla Wynn (Fiancée). Great grandchildren: Dionte I. Huckleby, De'Asia I. Huckleby, Darreon A. Napier, Dominic J. Napier, Amariyah Henderson, Aathan Henderson and Noah Napier.
