Ella Combs, age 94, passed away Marcy 14, 2014. Devoted mother of Anita L. Combs, Betty Combs, Cathleen Richardson, and Carl E. Combs, dear grandmother of Jackie Davis and a host of other grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Friday, March 21 at Walker Funeral Home, 1025 E. McMillan Street (45206) with visitation beginning at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Walnut Hill Cemetery. Ella L. Combs was born November 29, 1919 in Coopersfield, Georgia to Nellie Peak. She was an only child. She came to Cincinnati at a very early age. She was raised by her grandmother, Octivia Stewart. Ella grew up and attended school in Cincinnati. She later met and married Andrew Combs in the early 1940's. To this union were born Anita, Betty, Cathy and Carl (Gena). Ella gave her life to the Lord, and became a member of First Baptist Church of Walnut Hills for over 50 years. She was a member of the usher board faithfully, and she loved the Lord and her family. She worked for over 40 years for the Weil's Family. Ella was preceded in death by her mother and husband. She is survived by her children, Anita, Betty, Cathy and Carl (Gena). A host of loving grandchildren, dear friends and loved ones. She will surely be missed in our hearts.
