She was raised and educated in Cincinnati, Ohio. She departed her life in the comfort of her own home on Monday, March 31, 2014. In 1950, Elizabeth met the late Lawrence Briggs, Sr. where in 1952, they were united in holy matrimony. To this union was blessed with eight beautiful children, Gloria, Kharyn, Terri, Lawrence Jr, Anthony, Kathleen, Jeffrey and Dion. Elizabeth dedicated her life to raising her eight children while Lawrence Sr., was an over the road truck driver. Elizabeth (known to most as Mrs. Coach), was not only known for being a great mother to her eight children, but was also like a mother to the community of Winton Terrace. During her lifetime, she has touched the souls of so many people through her wild (uncensored) sense of humor, her selfless acts of kindness to others and her great sense of family rather you were related or not. Elizabeth was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Briggs, Sr.; two daughters, Gloria and Terri; son, Jeffrey. Elizabeth leaves to cherish her memory: her five children, Kharyn (Joe), Lawrence Jr., Anthony (Toya), Kathleen (Edward and Dion. She also lives through her 33 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends.
