Elizabeth Louise 'Betty' Blum, (nee Simko) Age 65 of Twinsburg, died Thursday, June 3, 2010. Betty taught french at Shaw High School in East Cleveland and prior to that at Garfield High Shool in Garrettsville, OH. She was a member of St. Ann's Catholic Church and the Red Hat Society. Betty is survived by her loving daughter Jennifer Blum, dear sister Susan (Joe) Kohut, brothers Larry (Christy) and Terry (Maria) Simko. Betty is also survived by nephew and godchild Joey Kohut, niece and godchild, Katie Kohut, and nieces Julie Tober and Christina Hodgen. Also many loving cousins, Aunt Margaret Tkach and her beloved 3 cats. She was preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Elizabeth Simko and many aunts and uncles. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society Northern Ohio Chapter Cleveland, 23297 Commerce Park Rd Cleveland, OH 44122 where Betty was a long time member and volunteer. Interment Calvary Cemetery 248 S. Belle Vista Ave. Youngstown, Ohio.
