Edward LaBordeaux Sr. was born to the late Willie and Cassie LaBordeaux on September 27, 1938 in Covington, Kentucky. He was called home to be with the Lord on Wednesday July 25, 2018 at the age of 79.
"Eddie" as he was called attended Lincoln Grant High School. He served in the United States Army in 131st Medical Division. He fought in the Vietnam War and received an Honorable Discharge.
Eddie retired from General Motors where he worked for more than twenty years.
Eddie gave his life to the Lord and received the Holy Ghost in 1974 and began his work in Christ. He was a lead singer in the Male Chorus at his church. He was called to preach and was an Ordained Elder. He was the former Pastor of True Holiness Church of God in Woodlawn, Ohio. In 1988, Eddie relocated to Jacksonville, Florida where he continued his spiritual work and began the True Holiness Church of God, Jacksonville, Florida where he was pastor.
Eddie passed away at home in Florida on July 25, 2018. He leaves to cherish his memory and spirit, his wife, Mrs. Princess LaBordeaux; sister, Pastor Clementine LaBordeaux; his children, stepdaughters, Eunique Clifford, Fel-City Clifford and stepson, Charley Clifford; Silvia LaBordeaux, Linda LaBordeaux, Angela LaBordeaux, Tiffany LaBordeaux, Charmaine Rahin (Khald), Michael LaBordeaux, Herbert LaBordeaux, Edward LaBordeaux Jr. (Sharlena); brother, Maurice Mitchell, as well as a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Visitation is from 6:00 pm until 7:00 pm, on Wednesday, August 1, 2018, at the Walker Funeral Home, 1129 Garrard Street, Covington, Kentucky (41011). The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation beginning at 7:00 pm.
Interment in Dayton National Cemetery, 4400 West Third Street, Dayton, Ohio 45248.
